Well, where do I begin with the list of superlatives! This was the second time we had used Damian to entertain our guests – and if anything he was even more spectacular than the first. He moved seamlessly from table to table, revisiting each several times during the meal.

An absolutely amazing start to the evening. All the men were trying to work out how he did it, but ended the evening defeated. It was absolutely amazing. Following that we had table magic between the courses of the meal. Damian amazed us by doing more amazing magic. It was absolutely fantastic. Was blown away by his tricks at our friend's wedding the other week. Being so close you are sure you are going to spot something that gives the game away, but nope - nothing, nada, zip ! Excellent tricks that wowed all the guests. Initially I thought he must have practiced for years to be that good but then I spotted the third nipple which confirmed it - WITCH !!! From my initial chat with Damian to the end of his performance, he was friendly, helpful and engaging. The booking service, with follow up communication, was clear, timely and easy to use.
But this was nothing compared with Damian’s literally jaw dropping magical collection of dexterous hand movements and clever tricks. He is a brilliant magician without any pomposity. All his tricks were excellent, some of them were absolutely mind-blowing and impossible to fathom how he did what he did. Two of our table were no further than a foot away and could not see how he managed to manipulate and change objects so skillfully. We were stumped by his magic and were still discussing it the following day. He really helped to make my birthday gathering extra special and he will definitely be booked for future engagements.

It is impossible not to be impressed with Damian’s skill as a magician. He appeals to all ages, from my parents in their eighties to my friend's 11yr old daughter.
He has a fantastic memory for names, which makes the whole event a very personal one.
I watched at least ten different tricks and still have no idea how any of them were done.

We booked Damian for our wedding in August and can honestly say it was one of the best decisions we made.
We always wanted to have a magician at our wedding but finding the right one was difficult. There are lots of magicians around but we were pretty uninspired by them.
Right from the first video call with Damian back in December we knew he was the right choice.
Originally we only booked Damian for the drinks reception but seeing how brilliant he was and how much our family and friends were enjoying him, we asked him to stay for the wedding breakfast- that’s how good he is.
Whenever we heard our guests laughing and cheering throughout the day we could see it was because of Damian.
3 months on and our guests are still talking about him! There are cheaper options but you will get what you pay for. Damian is brilliant and worth every penny. Honestly, do not hesitate to book because you won’t regret it.

This was a work Christmas party with a mix of people including some senior managers and directors. We needed to add something a bit special that people would remember. This was the first time we had arranged the work Christmas party for 160 people, so we wanted to impress!
I had Seen Damian before so knew he was good! I had made a mental note of the name, "Ginger Magic", after seeing Damian perform at a house party a few years ago. I didn't want to chance it with a Google search.
Damian started with some mingle magic as guests were arriving. He was careful not to intrude but made sure he performed for everyone. His magic was very clever and left everyone amazed. He is not brash or "in your face" but managed to capture everyone's attention perfectly. Then during the meal, he did some table magic, visiting 16 tables. He performed different magic at each table.
It was a great talking point during the party and afterwards at work! It allowed colleagues who don't know each other to have something to talk about and was a great ice-breaker.
I remember looking around during the meal and seeing whole tables of 10 people all mesmerised while Damian performed. All smiling, with mouths open!!
Damian was very thorough and stayed late to make sure he performed for all 16 tables! That was much appreciated. Beforehand all emails were responded to promptly and friendly.
It is still a talking point in the office, 3 weeks later. Feedback from everyone was brilliant.
Highly recommended to anyone organising a party.

We have an office with 150 staff. This wasn't a specific event, it was part of our reward and recognition scheme for enhancing our working environment and keeping our staff happy. The idea was to entertain everyone, but we didn’t want all of the staff away from work at the same time.
I contacted 2 local magicians, but they said that they didn't want to do this type of event. My colleague found the Gingermagic website and, after looking through it, thought Damian would be ideal for us.
As it was a corporate event, and we haven't had a magician previously, I was concerned about how well it would be received and also whether it would be perceived to be good value for money. However, it was Mind blowing! I've had great feedback from all of my colleagues, every single one was positive!
Damian’s ability to fit our requirements was outstanding. We are a contact centre where people's time is closely scheduled. Damian’s idea, to fit all 150 people in, was to have 12x 15 min slots spread across 3 hours. This worked perfectly!
The magic was brilliant, everyone came away trying to figure out how he did it! I was also incredibly impressed that Damian adjusted each performance so they were all slightly different!
Very entertaining, well worth the money!
We will definitely be booking again.

As I'm sure most people do I tried to be as keen eyed as possible and see just how the tricks were done, but I can honestly say Damian performed some of best the magic I've seen. Close up, slight of hand, mixed with some very impressive set points - it really looked impossible. Really talented guy.

We hired Damian Surr for a family celebration. Our silver wedding weekend had a group of 15 aged 13 to 66. He was brilliant. we had close up table magic before dinner and a parlour show afterwards. When he left we were all trying to second guess the magic but all agreed some tricks were mind boggling!

We booked Damian to provide entertainment at our wedding for when the photos were being taken and during the afternoon reception. Damian went above and beyond what we could have hoped for, he went round to each table (more than once) to show his tricks up close and personal. His magic tricks were excellent and everybody was amazed!
We had a few technical issues on the day (completely unrelated to Damian) which cause the speeches to be delayed and therefore Damian stayed later than he had originally planned to keep providing entertainment whilst these technical issues were being resolved for which we are very appreciative.
If you are considering a magician for your wedding (or any event) I would highly recommend Gingermagic, you won't regret your decision.

We weren't having any other evening entertainment at our wedding so wanted to break up our 5 course meal with something fun.
I contacted several magicians, but Damian really asked questions to understand more about our wedding so he could advise the best option for us. This made us feel really positive about it as we felt Damian made an effort to understand what would/wouldn't work--we really didn't want it to be awkward!
The magic was really good fun : ) Damian is very talented and I thoroughly enjoyed his show.
It was also perfect for our guests! Not many of them knew each other so it was fantastic to have them share some GingerMagic. It gave them something in common to talk about afterwards.
Damian also improved our selection of photos! We've got some brilliant ones that the photographer took of guests joining in, whether that's standing up with Damian or clapping/reacting to the magic that's taking place before them--they're fantastic.

For our team meeting dinner, I wanted entertainment that was a bit different to the norm. To change things up and to involve everyone. I was lucky enough to meet Damian when he performed at a family birthday meal. I enjoyed him so much, in the dinner setting, that I thought he would be great for my work event.
Damian provided up close magical entertainment that involved everyone. He got us all talking and guessing and really captured people's imaginations. It was a different experience that I hope the team will remember.
We are used to going out as a group for dinner, and having really long waits in between courses; people tend to sit with the same people too. Although people still sat with their buddies, having Damian performing within small groups at the table enabled everyone to get involved and also took our minds off any wait between courses! It definitely improved the atmosphere of the evening, gave everyone some light-hearted relief after a very long day in meetings, and gave everyone a new experience.
People commented on how friendly Damian was and everyone loved all the tricks. No one felt left out. We were impressed by how Damian moved along the table, included everyone and seemed to go above and beyond expectation.
I would recommend Damian to friends - and now work colleagues too. I would recommend him for both intimate family affairs, but also larger groups to do something a bit unusual. We will definitely be booking him again.

In addition to hosting the party, Mr and Mrs Dentist took on the catering and also booked Damian Surr, a ‘close up’ magician, as a surprise.
Damian’s close-up magic was amazing and none of us could figure out how he did it, no matter how beadily we followed with our eyes.
A few moments from his routine really stand out in the memory. There was one moment where he gave Rebecca a pack of cards and asked her to hold it tightly between her palms. When Rebecca opened her grip the carefully clutched cards had somehow been transformed into a block of perspex!
Lorna was asked to sign a card which vanished from the pack only to later be recovered from deep within a block of ice!
Ashley’s children were amazed when he invited them to take one of his A5 leaflets from his wallet. With a flick, the leaflet apparently turned into cash- a bundle of £20 notes – with a flick he turned it back into a leaflet again and returned it to his wallet.

After seeing Damian’s YouTube videos, I had no hesitation in booking him. I was looking for something different, found Damian with a google search, and never looked back.
Fantastic magic, all the guests were delighted. Damian added a different element to the party. It meant that those that chose not to dance, and congregate in the hall, were still being entertained. Damian was friendly and everyone was at ease with him.
The wow trick for me was the card in the ice block. Incredible!

I chose Damian because I liked the Gingermagic website and enjoyed our conversations about the conference. They provoked challenge and thought. It was clear during the preparation that my delegates were going to genuinely get a quality event. I liked Damian when we spoke and I try to only book people I can work with.
Price was the major concern as Damian’s fee was more expensive than other speakers. However, I did feel that the value he added to the conference was worth it.
The reaction to Damian’s talk was brilliant. I came in to watch the trick being delivered by the teams and everyone was having a blast. I can't ask for more than that from a group of stressed and overworked Headteachers.
Damian's ability to instruct was clear and Held (capital H) the room. Everyone genuinely wanted to learn so it was good for me as well, rather than some "fluffy" stuff they could switch off from.
The talk took everyone out of their comfort zone and made them focus and work together. Ideal for this event, perfect for corporate team building and also for colleagues getting to know each other in a more relaxed way..

Before booking a magician, I was a little concerned about how good they would be and whether guests would enjoy it. My Dad likes magic and it was his birthday. I wanted some entertainment, but something a bit different.

Gingermagic popped up in a search engine and had a very professional / easy website. The best magic I’ve ever seen live is the closeup work of Damian Surr. I’ve seen him a couple of times and his magic always recalibrates my eyebrows.
I was stood in a small group once, in a high-ceilinged hotel ballroom and Damian was doing a bit of card trickery. He had the guy next to me sign a card and put it back into the pack.
We’re all staring intently at the stack of cards between Damian’s nimble fingers, alert for any trickery, when he invites us to look to the heavens.
And right there, about ten feet above our heads, squarely attached to the ceiling and facing downwards, is the signed card we’d been trying to keep track of.
I have literally no idea how he pulled it off.

Last year we used The Three Waiters for our party and they were good, so this year I wanted something different and a Magician seemed a good idea.
I googled top Magician and Gingermagic came up, as he had won The Best Magician Award in Europe.

A google search brought up Damian's website. His reviews were good, he was local and available! I had no concerns booking Damian because there were so many video clips and testimonials on the website.
Great communication from the moment I enquired through to the event. It was great that Damian followed the enquiry up with a phone call - so much is done online/email these days, it was nice and reassuring just to talk things through with him.
The magic on the night was Amazing! Everyone was astonished and couldn't give enough praise.
Damian gave the party a real buzz! As we had lots of groups of friends in one place - work, old school friends, family, friends through our children etc it was a really nice way to get people talking to each other. Either looking over Damian's shoulder or sharing their views of amazement immediately after the trick.
All the tricks were amazing, particularly where Damian added extra layers to the magic - such as the signed card in the ice, and setting fire to the paper to return the ring!

I wanted a magician to add entertainment value and as a way of bringing together guests who didn't know each other. I wanted to make the party different and more memorable for us and our guests.
We had been let down at very short notice (2 days to go) by another magician who had been recommended by a friend. In a last minute panic, I found the Gingermagic website and really liked what I saw. I had looked at some other magicians sites and felt they were a bit too smooth and smarmy.
Damian was just right! His performance was great. I really liked how he just got on with it, mingling with our guests and wowing them with his magic. He gave a shared experience for our guests. We wanted to bring some additional entertainment to a formal evening - to lighten the atmosphere a little without it diluting from the aim of raising some funds for a charity.
This was our first time booking a magician so we were worried about quality etc, or how to find a suitable performer. The Gingermagic website was perfect in providing the tools we needed. After our initial enquiry, we found out that Damian was already booked in the time slot that we wanted. However, he offered to provide us with an alternate performer and gave us confidence that we would not be let down on the night.
A young magician called Callum entertained us and he punched above his weight. He was a delightful chap and did really well working the room with some very good close up magic. He won over lots of good old cynics and oohs and aaghs trailed him in his wake as he moved between tables. I found Gingermagic on the Magic Circle website. Damian seemed to be the only operator near the West Country, so I took a flyer on it. Obviously, you don't know quite what you might get in booking a magician. I relied on the Magic Circle imprimatur for quality.
My hope what that it would be fun to book a magician. A nice surprise for Suzanne's birthday and something that would add to the weekend away and provide a talking point afterwards. The show did all that.
I wanted a family show. Damian was honest in saying that he did not do children's magic. However, all the family enjoyed the show - everyone was engaged.
I find magic tricks fascinating. I don't know anyone who doesn't! Damian was excellent. Clever, engaging, just what you hope for.
Close-up magic must be quite difficult. The tricks were superb. Finding the card in the ice and the £20 note in the lemon were great highlights.

Damian is, quite simply, the best close up magician in the UK – and I’ve seen ‘em all.
His magic is at a different level to all those other ‘jobbing’ magicians that ply their trade on the circuit. Many of them are very good, but Damian is brilliant – and that’s the difference.
At our event last Friday he worked the tables at a 400 seater ball and you could tell where he was in the room by the regular ‘whooooah’s that kept erupting over the loud chitter chatter noise. Everyone was stunned by his tricks – even the die-in-the-wool cynics, who were determined not to be impressed, enjoyed his ‘at table’ performances. My favourite was the disappearing wedding ring that re-appeared in a ball of flame on a gold chain. It was extraordinary.
