One of the effects I developed in 2012 is a way to magically produce your business card using your iPhone. This worked so well for me that I decided to share it. I had very little previous interest in iPhone magic apps and certainly didn’t plan on becoming an ‘app developer’. However, Card Now was born!

I worked with a brilliant young developer in Denmark to produce Card Now. Within hours of release, the app got to number 3 in the iTunes App Store (business category). Top magicians all over the world now use my app to hand out their business cards.

An iPhone magic app that’s not just for magicians

Magicians aren’t the people that we had in mind when the app was released. Although the effect is strong enough that world class performers use it every day, it’s so simple that anyone can perform it. I have taught it to my kids. It’s REALLY EASY!

So who, other than magicians, would want to give out their business card in a magical way? Well … business men and women around the world!

Business networking

You all know the story. You’re at a business breakfast or networking event. Business cards are exchanged and taken back to the office. If you’re lucky, your card will end up in a pile somewhere. If you’re not so lucky, it will find it’s way into the trash.

It doesn’t have to be this way

Imagine handing your business card out in a way that will not only be remembered, it will be actively talked about. I have had people running, clutching my card, to tell colleagues what they just witnessed.

Inventive

You can also use Card Now to hand out anything that you can photograph. I know one creative Toy Shop owner who magically produces vouchers for his customers. Several people have told me that they produce money using the app. The possibilities are limitless.
