Yesterday I was interviewed for the Bristol Magician in Residence project that I’ve mentioned. This is a nationwide search for the most creative magician to work with the Watershed and the University of Bristol. The idea is to combine magic and technology to create something truly innovative and magical.

I’m in the top 5 🙂
Out of applicants throughout the UK (and possibly beyond?) I have been short-listed! There are just 5 magicians still in with a chance of being awarded the residency.
In the afternoon yesterday, we were all interviewed and asked to perform some magic for two different TV news stations. One of these was shown on TV before I’d even made the journey home (it’s technology amazing!). Here’s the footage from the ITV news program as it was shown last night.
The BBC footage seemed to get cut from broadcast because of Wimbledon overrunning. They probably wont use it now as it will not be considered ‘current’, but if I can get hold of the footage from that I’ll let you know.

Thanks for everyone’s support on this. It’s been great. And the bigger the business grows, the more opportunities seem to be coming my way. Momentum is a wonderful thing. Ride the wave!
Speak to you soon,
Damian
PS The BBC report was shown later on the same night, I just wasn’t watching. Click here to take a look at the report that they did.
