Movember
This month, I am growing a Tash!
I have never wanted a moustache, but there’s a growing number of men around the planet who grow one at this time every year. The idea is to raise awareness for men’s health and to raise money for cancer research.

Damian Surr – Movember
In Australia, where this global movement was started, a moustache is called a “Mo”. This is why November has become Movember. I’m sure it makes sense over there, but needs explaining over here. Tashvember would make much more sense to us.
If you want to find out how it started (it’s a very Australian story) and what it’s become, here’s a 16 minute video from the guy behind it all …

My Dad, Roy Surr
My dad was born with a moustache I believe. I’ve certainly never seen him without one. So, by the 30th November (28 days and counting) I’ll probably look as much like him as I’m ever going to get!

Me and Dad at a festival
Friday 1st November was ‘Shave day’. For the remaining 30 days of the month, shaving must continue, but the follicle growth on the top lip must stand proud!
November bookings
For those of you who have booked me to perform in the month of Movember, I can only apologise for my facial appearance. Rest assured that the extra weight on the front of my face will not affect the magic. I’m undergoing an extensive neck exercise regime to compensate!
Movember Donations
So, now it’s over to you! Here’s the link if you would like to make a donation to this worthy cause. It’s early days, but no one has donated on my page yet! The whole thing is just a bit silly if it doesn’t raise some money. I’m hoping that you lovely people can dig into your pockets and make a difference.
Please help! You donations will motivate me to create the ultimate ginger moustache 🙂
